Fire. The Burning Tree is therefore both a landscape and a lament. It is my personal response to the ecological drama of our time—a visual expression of eco-grief, but also a reminder of our responsibility toward the natural world.
The burning tree asks a simple but painful question:
What will remain if we continue to let our forests disappear?
For me, painting it is an act of witnessing—a way of giving a voice to a tree that can no longer speak.
